January
Well done to all the children who won the prestigious Golden Child Award for January! Our very gifted caretaker, Harry has made these beautiful new trophies.

We are continuing to develop our chill-out zone in school and Harry is going to make some furniture that also acts as a storage space. We bought some cool new bubble tubes that the children love to look at. The chill-out zone is an area for everybody in our school, where they can go to relax and enjoy a multi-sensory experience.

December
December school newspaper
Please see below the school newspaper, created by our children. They have all worked so hard this month to get this finished, and there has been a LOT going on in our school, so we are really proud of them. A special thanks to Joe, our Editor for checking through our articles. Another special thanks to fifth and sixth class, for all helping with reviews and recipes this month!
November
October & November newspaper
Take a look at the most recent edition of our school newspaper. Well done and thanks to all of the children on the newspaper team, as well as all of the children who contributed their ideas and articles. We are doing a special ‘Pets at Christmas’ photo collage next month – if you have a picture of your pet(s) at Christmas, please email them to Ms Parle (ms.parle@sstkilshanroe.ie) and we will do our best to publish them!
September
School Newspaper is out!
Please see our school newspaper for the month of September. We have a brand new staff of reporters, editors and designers, as well as new contributors this year. We think we have made a great start to the school year!

Well done to the children in 5th and 6th class for winning the first week of the lollipop league! Points are awarded two classes for brilliant lining up and walking in. The fifth and sixth class did a wonderful job of modelling this to the younger classes this week.
