Welcome to the webpage for Senior Infants. Here we will keep you posted on class news and post some work from the children.
In recent news……
We went on a visit to the old school. We got to go inside and look around. We talked about the similarities and differences between our school and the old school. We were very lucky on the day that we got to meet a past pupil of the old school who was visiting the building at the same time as us. We had lots of questions for her and she gave us lots of information on what life was like in the old school.
We have been learning all about patterns. We’ve gotten really good at making our own patterns.
We had a really fun day on Friday 27th October as it was our annual fancy dress day for Halloween. We also performed our Halloween dance for parents/guardians that we have been working so hard on with Ms Harris. We ended off the day with a trip to the bake sale. It was a great start to the holidays!
We had a visit from some members of the Carbury Ladies team who recently won their county final. They brought in the cup and we got to hold it and ask the girls questions about the match.
Maths week was great fun in Senior Infants. 5th&6th class played maths games with us and helped us with our symmetrical butterflies for the maths art competition. They also helped us on our maths trail.
We went on a nature walk around the school yard to find evidence of Autumn. We even managed to gather some pieces to bring back to the classroom.

Two speakers from the RNLI came to our school to talk to us about water safety. It was very interesting. We learned a lot about how to stay safe around water.
